Ironic Twist seeking irony, because sarcasm clashes with my outfit

Once my company replaces the people they fired, I promise to return to longer, more coherent posts. Like ones that aren't just flyers, or pictures of T-shirts I bought. Although by posting show/party flyers and the occasional MP3, I hope I'm at least maintaining the informative nature of this blog.

Lots of fun at Unbuckled last night. Uncharacteristically, I lost track of the music a bit because I ended up socializing a lot instead of just standing there and paying attention. The bands were great... I was just lacking my usual focus. Check out DCist for photos and such. Drew and Kyle both got great shots of the two bands. Today, Mike sent me three more songs from the new Hard Tomorrows album, including "Lights Out," one of my live favorites. Only a few more songs to master, and the album will be ready for its May release. If you haven't downloaded "Stop and Shoot" (the song with which they opened their set last night), get it here.

Tonight: The Agenda @ Cue Bar, obviously. It might turn into the unofficial Stars afterparty. Very unofficial.

Saturday: Helping PL move. I've been declared czarina of the move, which means I get to tell people what to carry and where (hopefully). Then, off to Baltimore for my grandmother's 80th birthday party/dinner. Luckily, I'm only going to have to withstand about an hour and a half of the aunts'/ uncles'/ cousins' verbal abuse, because I have to come back to DC to DJ at a fancy party. You should go to Bliss. The Cloud Room giveaways, and special guest DJ Pogo (Panic).

Sunday: Sleeping very late. Probably doing a bit of work. Trying to go to the gym. Tuning into Grey's Anatomy and nurturing my hate for Meredith.

Seeking Irony Exclusive

"Get out, you just make noise with your thoughts..."

Lots of work today, so the three-day weekend wrap-up will come later (preview: DJing, a surprise party, cute boys in bands, dancing, amazing art, smelly art, and more). For now, head over to The Hard Tomorrows' MySpace page and listen to the two new songs they posted today. Both are great, but I'm already addicted to "Stop and Shoot." Rob asked me not to post the MP3 just yet, but once he's ready for it to be released, I'll be sure to share it with you. For now, you can hear them perform it live at DC 9 this Thursday, and you'll definitely hear it when I DJ The Agenda on Friday.
